Bishop Ramón Darío Valdivia Jiménez

Msgr. Ramón Darío Valdivia Jiménez was born on 16 December 1974 in Osuna, Seville. He was ordained a priest on 14 September 2003, and obtained a licentiate in law from the Universidad de Sevilla in 2001, and a bachelor’s degree in theology from the Centre of Theological Studies in 2003. He then obtained a licentiate in philosophy from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome in 2006, a doctorate in 2008, and a doctorate in law from the Universidad de Sevilla in 2020. He has held the following offices: parish vicar of Nuestra Señora de Valme (2003-2004); parish priest of La Asunción (2008-2010); vice rector of the seminary (2010-2015); director of formation for the permanent diaconate (2011-2016); and director of the Centre for Theological Studies (2012-2018). Since 2008 he has served as professor in the San Isidoro Faculty of Theology; to date he has been parish priest of the Iglesia de San Roque, member of the College of Consultors and episcopal vicar of Sevilla Ciudad I.
