Bishop Antônio Ederaldo de Santana

Antônio Ederaldo de Santana was born on April 16, 1975, in Olindina, in the Diocese of Alagoinhas, in the state of Bahia. He completed his studies in Philosophy and Theology at the Universidade Católica do Salvador in Salvador, Bahia, and subsequently specialized in Youth Ministry. He was ordained a priest on December 22, 2002, and incardinated into the Diocese of Alagoinhas. He has held the following positions: Parochial Vicar in Nova Soure, Bahia (2003–2005); Spiritual Director of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and Diocesan Coordinator of Youth Ministry (2003–2005); Parochial Vicar at the Cathedral (2005); Vicar General (2007–2021); and Diocesan Administrator (2021–2022). Since 2022, he has served as Vicar General, and since 2006, he has been the Parish Priest of Nossa Senhora do Livramento in Rio Real, Bahia.
