Giuseppe Satriano was born in Brindisi on September 8, 1960. After completing his studies at the *Liceo Scientifico* (science-oriented high school) in Brindisi, he entered the Regional Seminary of Molfetta, where he underwent his priestly formation. In 2006, he enrolled at the "Regina Apostolorum" Institute in Rome, where he obtained a Licentiate in Bioethics. He was ordained a priest on September 28, 1985, for the Archdiocese of Brindisi-Ostuni. He has held the following positions: from 1984 to 1993, he served as an educator and subsequently as spiritual director at the diocesan seminary in Ostuni, with responsibility for the Vocational Guidance Group; from 1985 to 1997, he taught religion at the "S. Giovanni Bosco" State Middle School, the "L. Pepe" State Science High School, and the "Calamo" State Classical High School, all in Ostuni; from 1993 to 1997, he was parochial vicar of the Maria SS. Annunziata parish in Ostuni; from 1997 to 2000, he served as a *fidei donum* priest (missionary) in Marsabit, Kenya, acting as parish priest; from 2001 to 2003, he was rector of the diocesan seminary; since 1985, he has been a *canonico mansionario* (resident canon) of the Cathedral Chapter of Ostuni, and since 1991, a canon of the Cathedral Chapter. Since 2003, he has served as Vicar General, holding the following additional roles: Episcopal Vicar for Clergy and Consecrated Life; chaplain of the "Rosa Marina" tourist village in Ostuni; assistant to the Missionaries of the Kingship (Missionarie della Regalità); coordinator of the Missionary Priests of the Kingship; person in charge of the formation of young priests; and delegate to the Council for Economic Affairs. Since 2006, he has also served as assistant to the Serra Club of Brindisi, and since 2007, as Secretary General of the Diocesan Synod.
