Three times a year (spring, summer, fall), family-friendly days of service, prayer, and reflection; parishioners serve at a variety of sites across the community.

Jesuit ministry accompanying men and women recovering from homelessness and addiction; volunteers provide transportation and serve on retreat teams.

Twinning relationship with La Virgen de Nazaret Parish in Lima, Peru, entered in 1999; shares faith, time, talents, and treasure through immersion trips and mutual visits.

Proclaim the Sacred Scriptures at Mass; training provided and required.

In partnership with Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio, provides cultural orientation, community resources, transportation, tutoring, and additional support to refugee families recently resettled in Cincinnati.

Drives the expansion of social mission throughout the parish; comprises parishioners representing a variety of ministries, interests, and demographics; meets regularly with the Director and Associate Director of Social Mission.

Person-to-person home visits by Vincentians to meet needs of downtown neighbors seeking assistance and offer spiritual support. Volunteers gather every Saturday morning from around 9 AM to 12 PM.

Once a month, St. Xavier parishioners provide a warm lunch for Tender Mercies residents (homeless adults with mental illness); last Sunday of the month at 11 AM.

One Sunday morning each month, a ministry team visits local jails to share scripture and reflection.

Provide atmosphere of welcome and worship at weekend Masses; facilitate collection, direct Communion procession, distribute bulletins. Training provided.

Parishioners assist in pastoral care by visiting those dealing with grief, isolation, illness, job loss, spiritual crisis, or other difficulties; provides Meal Train and Home Communion to homebound parishioners.

Assist wedding couples at rehearsal and wedding; organize and facilitate the couple, attendants, parents and guests; assist officiants. Stipend may be offered.

Partnership ministry; parishioners routinely volunteer and provide financial assistance to this faith-based, scholarship-funded school for boys in Bond Hill.
