Kurt Richard Burnette is Apostolic Administrator of Saints Cyril and Methodius of Toronto [Slovak], Canada. Father Kurt R. Burnette was born on 7 November 1955 near Fakenham in England. He belongs to the clergy of the Holy Mary of Protection Byzantine Eparchy of Phoenix, USA. He was a student at Saints Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Pittsburgh and received priestly ordination on 11 April 1988. He obtained a doctorate in mathematics and in civil law. Sent to Rome for studies, he obtained a licentiate in Eastern canon law. He taught in several universities. He carried out the following assignments: parish administrator of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Fontana, California, and of St. Irene Catholic Church in Portland, Oregon; parish priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Albuquerque, New Mexico; assistant chancellor and eparchial treasurer; fire-department chaplain; judicial vicar and defender of the bond. In 2012 he was appointed rector of Saints Cyril and Methodius Seminary.
