Members are Catholic men and women: married, single, separated, distinguished by great devotion to the Holy Eucharist. Share spirituality and cannot be living opposed to Ten Commandments.

Bereavement

Bereavement

Committee member visits the bereaved family to help them plan the funeral liturgy. Provides booklets with suggested readings and hymns and explains liturgy procedures to families.

Boy Scouts & Cub Scouts

Youth & Young Adult

Boy Scout troops have been active at St. Jane Parish for more than 60 years. Ages 11-17, meeting every Sunday evening 6-7:30 p.m. in Father Farrell Hall. Activities include hiking and overnight camping trips.

Cancer Support Group

Health & Wellness

Ministers to cancer patients, survivors, and families. Meets second Tuesday monthly, 7:00-8:30 p.m., Monsignor Gobitas Meeting Room. Components include professional presentations, prayer teams, small group sharing, spiritual direction.

Catholic Men's Fellowship

Meets second and fourth Saturday at 7:00 a.m., with third Saturday breakfast.

Cursillo

Short Course in Christianity. Learn to live what is essentially a Christian life in friendship with Christ. Weekend experience Thursday evening through Sunday night, held in Spring and Fall, with separate weekends for women and men.

CYO - Catholic Youth Organization

Social, cultural, and sports activities for children including declamation contest, spelling bee, one-act play, soccer, cross country, flag football, basketball, cheerleading, track, softball, tee ball, baseball.

Divine Mercy

Prayer & Devotional

Promotes devotion to the eternally generous mercy of God. Meets every Saturday morning after 8:15 a.m. Mass, with intentions for those struggling with cancer and illnesses. Celebrates Divine Mercy Sunday (first Sunday after Easter).

Easton Area Society of St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry

Social Justice & Outreach

Provides food and clothing to neighbors who are in need. Located at 841 Washington Street, Easton. Open 1st and 3rd Tuesday monthly, 6 to 7:30 PM. About 120 volunteers from three Easton Catholic churches. Collections on last Sunday weekend of each month.

Have the honor and great responsibility of assisting with distribution of Holy Communion at Mass. Also bring communion to sick and infirmed at homes, hospitals, nursing homes.

Home and School Association

Parish Governance & Administration

Vital link between St. Jane School, the home and the parish. Provides volunteers and raises money for the school through fundraising committees to keep tuition affordable.

Homeless Shelter Meals

Parishioners work in teams of 4-6 and serve meals at Safe Harbor in Easton and Victory House in South Bethlehem monthly. Heat, serve meals, eat with residents, listen to their stories.

Knights of Columbus

Fraternal & Service

Catholic family, fraternal and service organization dedicated to Charity, Unity, Fraternity, Patriotism. Offers aid and assistance to sick, disabled and needy members and families. Union Council #345. Meets 2nd and 4th Wednesday monthly, Monsignor Gobitas room.

Meets 2nd and 4th Wednesday, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in the chapel. Activities include hymn, scripture reading, prayer intentions, rosary, discussion/witness sharing.

Ministry to the Homebound

Serving homebound elderly and ill parishioners who need our love and attention. Activities include visiting, talking, reading, smiling, and providing unconditional love.

Sing and play music to help lead and inspire all who are gathered in worship. Focus on the central celebration of Sunday Eucharist.

Piecemakers Quilting Group

Fraternal & Service

Brings together women of various walks of life to design and sew quilted creations. Non-sewers and experienced sewers welcome. Meets Thursday mornings 10:00 a.m., Monsignor Gobitas Meeting Room. Serves as a fundraiser for parish activities.

Pilgrim Statue of Mary

Statues of Mary depicting Our Lady of Fatima, carved from wood in Fatima, Portugal. Began at St. Jane's in 1986. Travel weekly to parish homes to encourage devotion.

Group of individuals who pray in response to requests from parishioners. Network committed to prayer for people in need or crisis.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Knit or crochet shawls/lap robes for distribution to home-bound/hospitalized parishioners and those undergoing medical procedures or desiring healing comfort.

Traditional Catholic rosary prayer for residents at care facilities. Old Orchard Manor Care on Mondays at 4100 Freemansburg Ave, Easton. Eastwood Care Center every Wednesday on Fairview Avenue.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Fraternal & Service

International lay Catholic charitable organization in 142 countries. Learn of needs through calls and referrals; members visit homes. Funded by donations from charitable boxes and direct parishioner donations.

Hospitality

Invitations to a Parish Coffee extended via bulletin, announcements, personal phone calls. Meets quarterly, usually first Sunday of February, May, August, and November, in Msgr. Gobitas Meeting Room following Noon Mass.

Women parishioners of all ages and backgrounds invited to share skills, talents, gifts. Meets 3rd Tuesday monthly (except summer), Msgr. Gobitas Room, at 1:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Begins with the rosary.
