Bishop of Arras (-Boulogne-Saint-Omer)
Bishop Olivier Leborgne was born on 13 November 1963 in Nantes, in the diocese of the same name. He carried out his secondary studies in Meulan and attended the Superior School of Commerce in Rouen. In 1984 he entered the Saint-Sulpice Seminary of Issy-les-Moulineaux, where he received his priestly formation. After ordination, he enrolled at the Faculty of Theology of the Institut Catholique de Paris, obtaining a licentiate in theology. He was ordained a priest on 29 June 1991, for the diocese of Versailles. He has held the following offices: parish vicar in Elancourt-Maurepas (1991-1996); diocesan head for youth pastoral care (1996-1998); parish priest of the Sainte-Bernardette parish in Versailles (1998-2003); episcopal vicar, head of formation (2003-2004); and vicar general (2004-2014). On 20 February 2014 he was appointed as bishop of Amiens and received episcopal consecration the following 6 April. Since 2019 he has served as vice president of the Conference of Bishops of France.
