Bishop of Goya
Bishop Adolfo Ramón Canecín, Bishop of Goya, Argentina, was born in Formosa on 25 March 1958. He completed theology and philosophy studies at Nuestra Señora de la Merced archdiocesan seminary in San Miguel de Tucumán and received priestly ordination on 25 March 1988. He was parish vicar of María Madre de la Iglesia Parish, pastor of Sagrada Familia Parish, rector of the Cathedral of Formosa, vicar general, and rector of La Encarnación interdiocesan seminary in Resistencia, Chaco. At the source date he was episcopal vicar for pastoral ministry, pastor of San Francisco de Asís Parish, coordinator of the Liga de Madres de Familia, and adviser to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Formosa.
