Boys and girls from 4th grade through high school serve as altar servers, primarily at weekend Masses, and may also serve at funerals or weddings as needed. Training typically held in the fall; annual spring recognition dinner.

Confirmed parishioners in good sacramental standing assist in the distribution of Holy Communion, typically offered under both species at liturgies.

Construction of a permanent church for St. Anthony's in Kwaso, Ghana, funded by the Knights of Columbus #3900 and parishioners, honoring Father Clement Owusu's vision and the legacy of Ghanaian priests serving the Diocese of Des Moines.

A sewing outreach ministry making hospital gowns, blankets and quilts for those in need, items for Boxes of Joy, and items used during Mass and throughout the liturgical seasons.

Livestreams Mass at St. Michael's on the Knights of Columbus YouTube channel; Knights of Columbus #3900 funded the construction of a church for St. Anthony's in Kwaso, Ghana.

Students in 4th grade and older, as well as adults, proclaim the Scriptures and read the Prayers of the Faithful at weekend Masses and on Holy Days of Obligation.

Musicians and singers of all ages and skill levels take part; Solo Cantors lead the congregation in song during Mass.

Provides spiritual support through home visits, prayer, and the distribution of Holy Communion to those unable to attend Mass due to illness, age, or other circumstances.

Since 2013, the Catholic churches of Shelby County have shared a sister parish relationship with St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Villa Sandino, Nicaragua, supporting college scholarships, English classes, honey production training, solar panels, water filters, and ongoing parish life support.

During Sunday Masses, children are dismissed after the opening prayers to gather with a teacher who shares the Liturgy of the Word in a way meaningful and engaging for their age level.

Anyone age 16 and older can serve, greeting parishioners and visitors, assisting with the collection, and distributing bulletins. All ushers receive training in security and church environment safety.

A transformative weekend retreat from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon, with all meals and snacks provided, opportunities for Mass, Adoration, and shared experiences, at no cost to attend.
