Bishop Camillo Cibotti

Camillo Cibotti was born on October 28, 1954, in Casalbordino, within the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Chieti-Vasto. He studied philosophy and theology at the Regional Seminary of Chieti and obtained a Licentiate in Moral Theology from the Pontifical Alphonsian Academy in Rome. He was ordained a priest on July 1, 1978, and incardinated into the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Chieti-Vasto. He held the following positions: Parish Priest in Liscia (1978–1985); Spiritual Director at the Regional Seminary (1985–1988); Parish Priest in Ripa Teatina (1988–1994); Parish Priest of SS. Trinità dei Pellegrini in Chieti (1994–2005); Rector of the Church of San Domenico in Chieti (1994–2005); Vicar General of Chieti-Vasto (since 2005); Professor of Moral Theology at the Abruzzo-Molise Theological Institute; and Episcopal Vicar for the Laity and Assistant to the Diocesan Council for the Laity. Appointed Bishop of Isernia-Venafro on May 8, 2014, he received episcopal consecration on June 11 of that year. Within the Regional Episcopal Conference, he serves as the delegate bishop for legal matters, for the *Sovvenire* (support for the Church), and for the liturgy. The Holy Father has appointed H.E. Msgr. Camillo Cibotti, Bishop of the Diocese of Isernia-Venafro, as Bishop of the Diocese of Trivento, uniting the two sees *in persona Episcopi* (in the person of the bishop). H.E. Msgr.
