António Francisco Jaca, S.V.D., was born in Quessua (Diocese of Malanje) on November 3; he made his solemn vows in 1990. He was ordained a priest on September 29, 1990. He held the following pastoral positions: 1990–1994: Parochial Vicar at the Nzeto Mission (Mbanza Congo); 1994–1998: Licentiate in Social Communications (Quebec, Canada); 1999–2002: Director of the CEAST station "Radio Ecclesia" and Vice Provincial Superior of his Institute; from 2002: Provincial Superior of his Institute.
