Altar servers lead processions with cross and candles and assist Father during Mass. Servers may begin after First Communion and continue through high school.

Distributes the Eucharist within or outside the celebration of Mass. Some ministers bring Communion to shut-ins. Training sessions held for new ministers.

Advisory body of lay persons mandated by the Code of Canon Law to advise the pastor in matters pertaining to the financial affairs of the parish.

Bishop Robert F. Joyce Council 10535. Active in support of St. Ambrose and the local community through dinners and fundraisers. All Catholic men are encouraged to join.

Proclaim Old and New Testament passages from the Bible before the Gospel. Must be Confirmed and of high school age or older.

Oversees the Sacramental Life of the parish and the liturgical appearance of the church. Plans special liturgies, provides music, trains and schedules altar servers, oversees lectors, lay ministers, and ushers.

Works with the pastor to promote the spiritual welfare of all persons within the parish. Concerned with worship, religious education, spiritual works of mercy, social concerns and stewardship.

Responds to the needs of parishioners and in emergencies provides food, shelter, and clothing when needed. Strives to bring about justice where there is injustice.
