Edinson Edgardo Farfán Córdova, O.S.A., was born on September 21, 1974, in Tambo Grande, within the territory of the Archdiocese of Piura. He entered the Augustinian Order in 1998 and made his religious profession on January 11, 2003. He studied philosophy at the Major Seminary of the Archdiocese of Trujillo and theology at the *Universidad Católica Boliviana* in Cochabamba, obtaining a Licentiate in Spiritual Theology and Pedagogy. He was ordained a priest on July 26, 2008. He has held the following positions: Coordinator of the International Commission for Communications and Publications of the Organization of Augustinians of Latin America (2006–2014); Parochial Vicar of Santa Ana in Cala Cala, Archdiocese of Cochabamba, Bolivia (2007–2008); Parochial Vicar of San José Obrero, as well as Theology Professor and Spiritual Director at the Major Seminary, Diocese of Chulucanas, Peru (2009–2010); Master of Pre-novices of the Augustinian Order (2011–2012); Parish Priest of Nuestra Señora de Montserrat, Archdiocese of Trujillo, Peru (2012–2013); Theology Professor at the *Universidad Católica de Trujillo Benedicto XVI*, Peru (2013–2015); Prior and Master of Professed Religious of the Augustinian Order (2013–2017); Parish Priest of Santa Rita de Casia, Trujillo, Peru (2015–2018); Episcopal Vicar for Consecrated Life in the Archdiocese of Trujillo, Peru (2017–2018); and Secretary General of the Organization of Augustinians of Latin America (2015–2019). On April 24, 2018, he was appointed Apostolic Administrator *ad nutum Sanctae Sedis* of the Territorial Prelature of Chuquibambilla (Peru). On December 7, 2019, he was appointed Bishop-Prelate of the Territorial Prelature of Chuquibambilla, receiving episcopal ordination on January 4, 2020. He was born on September 21, 1974, in the city of Tambogrande, Piura. He made his first profession in the Order of Saint Augustine on January 11, 2003, and was ordained a priest on July 26, 2008. He holds degrees in Spiritual Theology and Pedagogy. His pastoral ministry has included roles such as parochial vicar in various parishes, parish priest, spiritual advisor to the John XXIII Movement, theology professor, spiritual director of the Santísima Trinidad Major Seminary in Chulucanas, master of pre-novices, episcopal vicar for Consecrated Life in the Archdiocese of Trujillo, and coordinator of the International Commission for Communications and Publications for the Organization of Augustinians of Latin America. He served as a theology professor at the "Benedict XVI" Catholic University in the Archdiocese of Trujillo, Peru (2013–2015), and as prior and master of professed religious for the Augustinian Order (2013–2017). On April 24, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Apostolic Administrator *ad nutum Sanctae Sedis* (at the disposal of the Holy See) of the Territorial Prelature of Chuquibambilla. Msgr. Farfán received episcopal ordination on January 4, 2020, in Cusco. Years later, he was elected by the Bishops of Peru as President of the Episcopal Commission for Social Communication of the Peruvian Episcopal Conference for the 2022–2025 term. Finally, on February 14, 2024—Ash Wednesday and the beginning of the Lenten season—Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of the Diocese of Chiclayo.
