Bishop Alexis Aly Tagbino

Alexis Aly Tagbino was born on October 17, 1972, in Guéckédou, in the Diocese of Kankan. After primary school in Guéckédou, he entered the Saint John XXIII Minor Seminary in Kindia. Subsequently, he attended the 28 September High School in Kindia. After the propaedeutic year, he studied philosophy and theology at the Saint Augustine Major Seminary in Bamako. He was ordained a priest on March 2, 2003. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 2003–2007: Parochial Vicar of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in Bardou; 2007–2009: Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of the Rosary in Guéckédou; 2009–2012: Licentiate in Canon Law at the Pontifical Urban University; since 2012: Bursar and Professor of Canon Law at the Benedict XVI Interdiocesan Major Seminary in Conakry; concurrently, Chancellor of the Diocese of Kankan.
