Archbishop of Resistencia
Archbishop Ramón Alfredo Dus, Archbishop of Resistencia, was born on May 22, 1956, in San Lorenzo, in the Archdiocese of Corrientes. Having completed his philosophical and theological studies at the seminary of Paraná, he was ordained a priest for Paraná on December 8, 1980. In 1999 he obtained a doctorate in sacred scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute. He was a professor at the seminary of Santa Fe, at the seminary of Paraná, where he also served as rector, and at various theological institutes, and in the Diocese of Paraná he also served as delegate for ecumenism. On August 5, 2005, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Thibica and Auxiliary Bishop of Reconquista. He received episcopal ordination on September 17, 2005, with Mario Luis Bautista Maulión as principal consecrator and Estanislao Esteban Karlic and Andrés Stanovnik as co-consecrators. On March 26, 2008, he was appointed Bishop of Reconquista. On February 21, 2013, he was appointed Archbishop of Resistencia, and he was installed on May 3, 2013.
