Bishop of Netzahualcóyotl
Bishop Héctor Luis Morales Sánchez, Bishop of Nezahualcóyotl, was born on September 12, 1954, at Tamuín, in San Luis Potosí and in the Diocese of Ciudad Valles. He entered the minor seminary of Ciudad Valles and then the major seminary of San Luis Potosí, where he made his ecclesiastical studies, and he was ordained a priest on January 17, 1979, being incardinated in the Diocese of Ciudad Valles. He was rector of the seminary of Ciudad Valles from 1979 to 1986, chancellor of the curia and parochial vicar of the cathedral from 1986 to 1998, episcopal vicar for pastoral care from 1998 to 1999, parish priest and vicar general from 1999 to 2000, and diocesan administrator of Ciudad Valles from 2000 to 2002, and from 2002 he was again vicar general of that diocese. On October 15, 2005, he was appointed Prelate of Huautla, and he received episcopal ordination on January 17, 2006. On January 7, 2011, he was appointed Bishop of Nezahualcóyotl.
