Bishop Domingo Buezo Leiva

Domingo Buezo Leiva is Bishop. Father Domingo Buezo Leiva was born on 19 December 1962 in Aldea Horcones, Esquipulas, Chiquimula. He attended primary school in the same municipality and began middle-level education at Colegio Seminario San José de Sololá, later completing it in the capital city. He completed philosophy and theology studies at the Salesian Philosophical and Theological Institute in Guatemala City. He was ordained priest in the Basilica of Esquipulas on 25 November 1988. From 1988 to 1989 he was parish vicar in the parish of San Pedro, Zacapa. From 1990 to 1995 he was appointed pastor of the parish of San Pedro, Zacapa. From 1996 to 1997 he undertook licentiate studies in pastoral theology in the city of Rome. From 1998 to 2002 he was again appointed pastor of the parish of San Pedro, Zacapa. From 2002 to 2009 he was appointed pastor of the parish of San Ildefonso in Ipala, Chiquimula. From 2009 until the time of the source he was pastor of the parish of San Juan Bautista in Camotán, Chiquimula.
