Bishop of Awka
Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor was born on September 13, 1952, in Anambra State, Bishop Ezeokafor grew up in a strong Catholic environment that shaped his vocation. Education and Formation: He studied at Bigard Memorial Seminary, Enugu, completing philosophy and theology. Priestly Ministry: Ordained a priest on June 30, 1984, he served in parish ministry, seminary formation, and diocesan administration. His pastoral leadership was marked by compassion and organizational skill. Episcopal Appointment: He was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Awka in 2007 and became Bishop of Awka in 2011. Current Role: Bishop Ezeokafor is known for his strong voice on social justice and economic issues in Nigeria. He has served as treasurer of the CBCN and collaborates with the CSN in promoting Catholic social teaching and pastoral care.
