Archbishop of Alep (Melkite Greek)
Georges Masri was born on May 26, 1968, in Aleppo. After attending school in his hometown, he entered the Patriarchal Seminary in Raboueh, Lebanon, and pursued philosophical and theological studies in Harissa. Ordained a priest for the Archeparchy of Aleppo, he held various positions: Parish Priest of St. Dimitrios Jabrie from 2000 to 2013 and spiritual director for various movements. Since 2013, he has served as Syncellus of the same ecclesiastical circumscription. He speaks Arabic and French.
