Bishop Vincenzo Calvosa

Vincenzo Calvosa is Bishop of Vallo della Lucania, Italy. He was born on 31 January 1964 in Laino Borgo (CS), in the Diocese of Cassano all'Jonio. After attending the Pontifical Regional Theological Seminary San Pio X of Catanzaro, he obtained a licentiate in Pastoral Theology at the Theological Faculty of Southern Italy in Naples. He was ordained a priest on 2 May 1992 for the Diocese of Cassano all'Jonio. He held the following offices: pastor of San Nicola di Bari in Nocara and parish vicar of the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rocca Imperiale (1992-2001); director of the diocesan office for vocational ministry (1996); member of the diocesan presbyteral council (2001); pastor of San Giacomo Apostolo in Altomonte (2001-2014); director of the office for sport and leisure time (2006); member of the diocesan council for economic affairs and of the diocesan administrative office (2012); pastor of the Parish of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Trebisacce (2014); diocesan treasurer, director of the diocesan technical office, and vicar for the economy (2016); and member of the diocesan presbyteral council and of the college of consultors (2017). The Holy Father appointed Vincenzo Calvosa, of the clergy of the Diocese of Cassano all'Jonio, until then pastor, diocesan treasurer, and vicar for the economy, as Bishop of Vallo della Lucania.
