Bishop of Marthandom (Syro-Malankara)
Vincent Kulapuravilai was born on January 22, 1964, in Anakkarai, in the Kanyakumari district (Tamil Nadu). He was ordained a priest on January 2, 1991, for the Eparchy of Marthandom. He holds a master's degree in history, a bachelor's degree in educational sciences, and a licentiate and doctorate in dogmatic theology from the Gregorian University. Following his ordination, he served as an assistant parish priest and parish priest in various ecclesial communities, as a district vicar and protopresbyter, and as director of the Catechetical Office and diocesan director of the Malankara Catholic Youth Movement. He is currently a professor at St. Mary’s Malankara Major Seminary.
