Archdiocese of Shillong—

Victor Lyngdoh was born on January 14, 1956, in the village of Wahlang, in the Archdiocese of Shillong. He attended school in his village and later moved to St. Paul's Apostolic School in Shillong. He completed his ecclesiastical studies at Christ King College and Oriens Theological College in Shillong. He was ordained on January 25, 1987, and incardinated into the Archdiocese of Shillong. Following his ordination, he served as follows: 1987–1992: Assistant Parish Priest in two different locations; 1992–2000: Parish Priest in three different locations and Diocesan Procurator. At the time of his appointment, he was the Parish Priest of Shillong Cathedral.
