Prelate of Deán Funes
Enrique Eguía Seguí was born in Buenos Aires on December 9, 1962, and pursued his ecclesiastical studies at the seminary of the same archdiocese. He held the following positions: parochial vicar and parish priest in various communities within the archdiocese, member of the Presbyteral Council, executive director of the Episcopal Vicariate for Pastoral Care, and head of the archdiocesan commission for the ongoing formation of the clergy. He was appointed Titular Bishop of Cissi and Auxiliary Bishop of Buenos Aires on September 4, 2008, and received episcopal ordination on October 11 of that year. He served as Episcopal Vicar for the Belgrano Vicariate and the Central Zone, Episcopal Vicar for Pastoral Care, Pro-Vicar General, and Vicar General. Within the Argentine Episcopal Conference, he served as Secretary for two terms (2008–2014).
