Bishop Adolfo Armando Uriona

Bishop Adolfo Armando Uriona, F.D.P., Bishop of Villa de la Concepción del Río Cuarto, was born on May 27, 1955, in Mar del Plata. He followed his ecclesiastical studies first at La Plata (1973-1976) and then at Buenos Aires (1977-1980), obtaining a teaching qualification in philosophy and a licentiate in theology. He made his perpetual profession in the Congregation of the Sons of Divine Providence on March 8, 1979, and was ordained a priest on June 28, 1980. He served as assistant parish priest (1981-1984); vice-rector of the philosophical and theological institute of San Miguel (1985-1986 and 1988-1997); director of the institute at Victoria (1987-1988); and provincial director of the Sons of Divine Providence in Argentina for two terms. On March 4, 2004, he was appointed Bishop of Añatuya. He received episcopal ordination on May 8, 2004. On November 4, 2014, he was appointed Bishop of Villa de la Concepción del Río Cuarto, and he was installed on December 19, 2014.
