The members of this ministry wash and press the altar linens. Members sign up to take care of this task on a rotating basis. Please contact Fr. John at the rectory if you can help with this important ministry of service to the parish community.

Parents of those youth wishing to learn how to serve at the altar during the holy mass should contact Fr. John.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist (EME's) must be formed to serve in this important role and must be approved for service by the pastor and the archbishop of Newark.

Maureen Howlin is the leader of this ministry. Please contact the rectory if you are interested in proclaiming the Word of God during the mass or other liturgical celebrations.

The Assumption Church Choir needs you! If you can speak, you can sing! A formally-trained voice is not necessary. Choir members and cantors are needed for our 10 AM Sunday mass as well as certain holidays, celebrations and Holy Days. The Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:30PM to 9:00PM from September through the middle of June. We have a very relaxed attendance policy. Youth over the age of 7 and adults wishing to pursue the receptlon of the Sacraments of Initiation of the Church (baptism, first holy communion and/or confirmation should contact one of the priests at the rectory to begin formation.

Volunteer Catechists, assistants and helpers are always needed to assist our efforts to pass the Faith onto the children of the parish. Please contact Fr. John at the rectory to disuss how you may help with the religious education of the youth of the parish.
