Bishop of Pozzuoli
Msgr. Carlo Villano was born on 25 August 1969, in Aversa, diocese of the same name, in the province of Caserta. He was ordained a priest on 29 June 1995. He holds a doctorate in moral theology and a degree in philosophy. From 1996 to 1999 he was deputy parish priest of San Michele Arcangelo in Aversa and from 1999 to 2013 parish priest of San Luca Evangelista in Varcaturo, Giugliano. Since 2013 he has been parish priest of Santi Filippo e Giacomo in Aversa and also chaplain of UNITALSI. To date he has served as episcopal vicar for Charity and the Men’s Society, director and lecturer in the Ss Apostoli Pietro e Paolo Interdiocesan Higher Institute of Religious Sciences Ss for the Caserta Area in Capua, director of the diocesan Office for Social Communications, and national ecclesiastical assistant to the AGESCI Rover/Scholastic Branch.
