Bishop of Palangkaraya
Bishop Aloysius Maryadi Sutrisnaatmaka, Bishop of Palangkaraya, was born on May 18, 1953, at Wedi, in the regency of Klaten and in the Archdiocese of Semarang. He is a member of the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Holy Family, and he was ordained a priest on September 24, 1981. On January 23, 2001, he was appointed Bishop of Palangkaraya, in Central Kalimantan, and he received episcopal ordination on May 7, 2001. He has served as chairman of the commission for missionary work of the Indonesian bishops' conference. His episcopal motto is Permanere in gratia Dei, To remain in the grace of God.
