Bishop of Jacmel
Glandas Marie Erick Toussaint was born on May 19, 1965, in Grande Savane, in the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince. After completing his secondary education at the Collège Saint-Martial in Port-au-Prince, he entered the Notre-Dame d’Haïti National Major Seminary, where he underwent his entire priestly formation and obtained a Baccalaureate in Theology. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince on November 13, 1994. Following his priestly ordination, he held the following ministerial positions: parochial vicar at the Cathedral of Port-au-Prince; pastor of the Assumption parish in Petit-Goâve; pastor of the Cathedral; and Director of Caritas Port-au-Prince. On January 12, 2011, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Senez and Auxiliary Bishop of Port-au-Prince. He received episcopal ordination on March 26 of that year. He serves as the National Director of Caritas Haiti and as President of the Commission for Migrants of the Haitian Episcopal Conference.
