Bishop Titus Joseph Mdoe

Titus Joseph Mdoe was born on March 19, 1961, in Lushoto, in the Diocese of Tanga. After completing his primary education at the Kongei school in Tanga and his secondary education at St. Peter’s Junior Seminary in the Diocese of Morogoro, he studied philosophy at the Our Lady of Angels National Major Seminary in the Diocese of Moshi and theology at St. Charles Lwanga Senior Seminary in Segerea, Dar es Salaam. He was ordained for the Diocese of Tanga on June 24, 1986. Following his priestly ordination, he held the following positions: 1986–1987: Parochial Vicar of Gare; 1987–1989: Parochial Vicar of Kilole and Diocesan Director for Vocations and Youth; 1989–1992: Parochial Vicar of Tanga Cathedral; 1992–1994: Parochial Vicar of St. Theresa’s; 1995–2000: Parish Priest of Hale; 2000–2008: Administrator of Tanga Cathedral; 2008–2010: Advanced studies at Santa Clara University in California (USA), obtaining an M.A. in Pastoral Ministries and Spirituality. Since 2010, he has served as Vice Principal of St. Augustine University–Stella Maris College in the Diocese of Mtwara.
