Bishop of Osorno
Bishop Carlos Alberto Godoy Labraña was born in Santiago de Chile on 28 March 1969. He carried out his philosophical and theological studies at the Santiago Major Seminary and completed a master’s degree in psycho-spiritual accompaniment at the Universidad Alberto Hurtado in Santiago. He received priestly ordination on 18 May 1996, and was incardinated in the archdiocese of Santiago de Chile. He has held the following offices: parish vicar of Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes, vice dean of Pudahuel Sur, parish priest of Cristo de Emaús, dean in Puente de Alto Sur, head of the Complaints Office in Santiago, spiritual director of the major seminary of Santiago, rector of the Shrine of La Inmaculada Concepción del Cerro San Cristóbal and episcopal vicar for pastoral care. On 22 June 2021 he was appointed titular bishop of Pudenziana and auxiliary of Santiago de Chile, receiving episcopal ordination the following 14 August. Monseñor Carlos Godoy Labraña.
