Assist in washing and preparing linens for the altar.

Altar Servers

Liturgical

Altar Servers assist the priest at Mass or other services. Open to all children of St. Bernard Parish who are fifth grade and up. A training session is held each fall. Normally scheduled one or two times per month throughout the year.

A Catholic women's community committed to deepening a life of prayer starting with daily Scripture devotionals and a supportive sisterhood.

Christmas Giving Tree

Part of St. Bernard Outreach Ministry. Supports local schools and elderly parishioners with much needed items.

Communion to Homebound

Liturgical

Eucharistic Ministers to the homebound are specially trained to take the Eucharist from church out to those Catholics and parishioners who, due to sickness or aging, are unable to join for Mass. Ministers offer Communion and read Scripture.

Deeper Faith

Prayer & Devotional

Meets every second Monday of the month in Bishop Hall, beginning with prayer, fellowship and snacks at 5:30 pm, video at 6:00 pm, with discussion to follow.

Ecumenical Partnership for Housing (EPH)

Social Justice & Outreach

Part of St. Bernard Outreach Ministry. A partnership between sixteen churches and the Salvation Army helping families with transitional housing, education and support services. St. Bernard Parish maintains a home on the east side of Green Bay.

Eucharistic Ministers

Liturgical

Eucharistic Ministers share Holy Communion with the congregation at Mass. A training session is required. Sign up before Mass.

Grief Share

Bereavement

A weekly grief recovery group providing informative and inspirational videos featuring grief recovery experts, small group discussions, fellowship, and take-home support materials.

Homebound and Care Facility Ministry

Family & Marriage

Part of St. Bernard Outreach Ministry. Strives to keep homebound and care facility parishioners connected to the parish family through birthday & holiday cards, bringing the Eucharist, communion services and rosary prayer sessions.

These parishioners decorate the worship space, creating an atmosphere of simplicity and hospitality with attention to the total space from the approach to the building through the gathering space and to the altar itself.

Meal Train

Part of St. Bernard Outreach Ministry. Provides meals delivered to the doorstep for those dealing with sickness, the loss of a loved one, surgery, or welcoming a new baby.

Men's Fellowship Group

Meets on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6:45-8 PM in Bishop Hall to grow in faith and community.

N.E.W. Community Shelter Meal

Part of St. Bernard Outreach Ministry. Volunteers provide 8 meals a year; sign up to donate food or serve the meal in the church narthex.

Pray the Rosary

Gathers twice per month to pray the Rosary with a special intention for Christians in the Middle East.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Social Justice & Outreach

Part of St. Bernard Outreach Ministry. Creates crocheted or knitted shawls providing comfort for parishioners and community members. Meets every second Wednesday of the month (September-June) from 10:30-11:30am in Bishop Hall; also meeting in summer at 6:45pm in the school library on Tuesday, July 14th and Tuesday, August 11th.

Readers

Fraternal & Service

Those who are called to the ministry of reader apply their talents and time to proclaim God's Word to the worship community. Requires preparation of the Old and New Testament readings in the Liturgy of the Word.

Respect Life Ministry

Social Justice & Outreach

Part of St. Bernard Outreach Ministry. Defends and respects life from conception to natural death; helps parishioners understand Catholic teaching on the sanctity of life and put faith into action.

Sacristans

Liturgical

Sacristans work behind the scenes preparing items used during liturgical celebrations, including hosts, wine, vessels, linens, vestments, etc. A training session is required. Serve at least once a month.

Secular Franciscans

The Secular Franciscan Order was established by St. Francis of Assisi more than 800 years ago. Their purpose is to bring the Gospel to life where they live and work.

Open to all parishioners interested in serving God's people as Jesus exemplified through the Corporal Works of Mercy. Oversees and organizes the Prayer Shawl Ministry, Ecumenical Partnership for Housing (EPH), Elizabeth Ministry, Love Life, N.E.W. Community Shelter Meal, Respect Life, St. Vincent de Paul, Homebound and care facility Ministry, and Christmas Giving Tree.

St. Monica Prayer Chain

Prayer & Devotional

Intercessors pray for the needs and intentions of the parishioners of St. Bernard Parish. Can be prayed from home or anywhere one receives media communication.

St. Vincent de Paul

Social Justice & Outreach

Part of St. Bernard Outreach Ministry. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis, through intervention, consultation, or direct dollar or in-kind service, maintaining confidentiality and dignity of those served.

The Elizabeth Ministry

Social Justice & Outreach

Part of St. Bernard Outreach Ministry. Supports families as they navigate life's challenges and joys, provides gift bags for newly baptized children, and supports each other through prayer with the Rosebud Program.

Women of Faith

Fraternal & Service

The St. Bernard Women of Faith is a community of women whose purpose is to know God, to develop a creative and supportive organization, and to expand the growth of its parish members and the parish through unity with all. Plans quarterly events focusing on mind, body, & spirit.

Young Married Couples Ministry

Creates a space of encouragement, support, and guidance for young married couples living out the vocation God has chosen for them.
