Bishop Manuel Nin Güell

Bishop Manuel Nin Güell, O.S.B., was born on 20 August 1956 in El Vendrell, in the archdiocese of Tarragona, Spain. He entered the Benedictine Monastery of Monserrat, where he gave his first vows on 26 April 1977, and his solemn monastic profession in 1980. He was ordained a priest on 18 April 1998. After ordination, he graduated in theology in Rome, and held the office of rector of the Pontifical Greek College in Rome (1999-2016). On 2 February 2016 he was appointed apostolic exarch for Catholics of Byzantine rite resident in Greece, receiving episcopal ordination the following 15 April, with the title of Carcabia.
