Altar Servers

Liturgical

Altar servers assist the priest during Mass as representatives of the people. Servers are chosen from those who display a desire to grow closer to Our Lord; the most important responsibility of the altar server is to pray.

Biblical Studies

Formatio fidei

Offers a Morning Bible Study (Thursdays 9:30-10:30 am, Disciples Room) and a Men's Bible Study (Friday mornings 6:45-7:30 am, Disciples Room) bringing men together around God's Word.

CYO Sports

Youth & Young Adult

Open to all STM children regardless of the school attended. Offers volleyball, cross country, basketball, soccer, track & field, and lacrosse programs across multiple age divisions. Financial aid is available for STM Parish and School children.

Family Faith Formation

Formatio fidei

Through weekly Sunday Mass, monthly Family Gatherings, and prayer and activities at home, the program supports family growth in faith and relationship with God and the Church.

Hospitality

A fellowship group that organizes parish family breakfasts and spaghetti dinners served in the Family Center. Holds monthly planning meetings on the second Monday of most months, 7:30-9:00 PM.

Music Ministry

Musica

The Music Ministry features vocal groups that contribute to parish liturgies and services throughout the liturgical year. Groups include the Adult Choir (open to all adults 18+, sings at 10:30 am Sunday Masses) and Teen Choir (open to high school students grades 9-12, monthly performances).

Parish Governance & Administration

Re-established in spring 2021 to work with the Pastor to build a vibrant parish community, centered in Christ. Seven members (four elected, three appointed by the Pastor) meeting monthly. Current initiatives include long-range strategic plan, music programs, Lenten retreats, volunteer recruitment, and financial transparency.

Prime Time

Hospitality

For men and women age 55 and older of any faith background. Meets monthly (second Thursday, 1:00 PM) for social gatherings, local musical performances, expert speakers on topics like healthcare, financial planning, and elder law, plus regional trips.

Respect Life Ministry

Pro-Life

We work with established ministries to support the Respect Life Pillars established by the US Council of Catholic Bishops, witnessing to the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death through prayer, pastoral care, information & education, and public policy.

St. Thomas More Women's Guild

Fraternal & Service

Brings together women of all ages from the St. Thomas More parish to serve the church, school, and community through leadership, service, and spirituality. Annual dues $20. Events include Designer Bag Bingo and Meals for Moms. Access to FORMED.org content.

St. Vincent de Paul Ministry

Social Justice & Outreach

Provides compassion to those in urgent need through emergency food, basic necessities, financial assistance for rent/utilities, community resource referrals, prayer support, and spiritual guidance. In 2025 assisted 54 individuals and families regardless of background.

Vocations Committee

Formatio fidei

The Parish Vocations Committee seeks to nurture calls to priesthood and religious life through prayer, education, and mentorship. Hosts a monthly First Friday Vocation Holy Hour (3:00-4:00 pm) with Eucharistic Adoration, Rosary, Scripture, Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and Benediction, plus all-day Adoration on First Fridays.

Youth Ministry

A faith-based program for high school teens offering community, spiritual growth, and service opportunities. Activities include Youth Night gatherings with games, snacks, and faith discussions, and mission trips through Catholic Heart Workcamp.
