The primary role of the altar server is to assist the priest during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. We have a special need for altar servers to assist at funeral Masses and at Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction.

As the liturgical seasons of the Church change, so do the decorations and art in the Sanctuary and the Church.

Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties shares the love of Christ by performing the corporal and spiritual works of mercy and works with individuals, families, and communities to help them meet their needs.

The music ministry at St. Robert Catholic Church is a very active and integral part of parish life. St. Robert Chorale has a rich tradition of singing sacred music that ranges from Gregorian Chant, the classics, to modern composers. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm in the music room.

Volunteers help organize the coffee and donuts on Sunday mornings and provide a welcoming environment for the parish community who gathers together for fellowship after Mass.

The Council of Catholic Women serves the needs of the parish and community through projects including funeral luncheons, meetings, a Christmas craft show, scholarships, Mother’s Day Mass cards, and maintaining Mass linens.

Covered in Prayer Ministry at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish involves the sewing of blankets given to those who are ill or suffering in any way. Caring volunteers commit to prayer for the recipient as they fulfill their part in the sewing and distribution of the blankets.

“The Delightful Diggers” of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church is a gardening ministry whose goal is to increase the beauty of the grounds surrounding the Church and School.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are trained members of the parish who assist in the distribution of the Eucharist to the assembly of believers at weekend and special feast day liturgies throughout the year.

The Flushing Christian Outreach Center (FCOC) is an inter-denominational organization of volunteers reaching out to meet the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of people in the community by providing food, clothing, and connections to local resources.

A core group of Extraordinary Ministers routinely takes the Blessed Sacrament to parishioners who live in care facilities or are unable to travel to church. Most visit weekly or every other week.

Flushing Council 8489. Monthly General Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 7:30 pm in the K of C Room next to Angel Hall.

Books donated by people of the parish are available to read in the Lending Library, located down the hall from Mary’s room toward the Music room.

The St. Robert MOM group exists to develop relationships and foster community among mothers of young children in the Flushing area and to support and encourage one another to deepen their relationship with Christ.

The purpose of the Parish Pastoral Council is to enhance pastoral planning, develop pastoral programs, improve pastoral services, and evaluate the pastoral effectiveness of the various programs at St. Robert Bellarmine.

The Servants of God’s Love are a new religious community located in Ann Arbor, MI within the Diocese of Lansing and an associate member of the Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious.

The St. Joseph Guild is a new ministry at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Parish. Its initial goal is to assemble a start-up group to work on projects and build the volunteer base.

Saint Robert Church Men’s Club provides a means for the men of the parish to work together for the support of the Church parish community and supports the school athletic program, local youth athletic programs, and Boy Scout Troop #206.

The Ushers’ Ministry seeks to be a doorkeeper in the House of God, receive visitors and members in a Christ-like fashion, provide comfort and support to worshippers, provide assistance to ensure that worship is carried out respectfully, and perform ushering duties in a cheerful manner.

The Welcome Team greets parishioners and visitors as they enter the church for Sunday Mass.
