Bishop of Evry-Corbeil-Essonnes
Michel Pansard was born on July 16, 1955, in Rennes, in the archdiocese of the same name. He pursued his philosophical and theological studies at the Interdiocesan Seminary of Issy-les-Moulineaux. Later, he completed his theological studies at the Catholic Institute of Paris, where he obtained a Licentiate in Theology. He was ordained a priest on June 19, 1982, for the Diocese of Nanterre. Following his ordination, he held the following ministerial positions: chaplain to the middle and high schools in Sceaux (1982–1988) and parochial vicar at Saint-Jean-Baptiste parish in Sceaux (1982–1985); professor and spiritual director at the Saint-Sulpice Seminary in Issy-les-Moulineaux (1988–2000); and head of ongoing formation for the diocese's priests (1994–2003). He has served as Vicar General of Nanterre since 2000.
