Archbishop of Kampala
Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere, Archbishop of Kampala, was born on June 30, 1956, in Kisubi, Uganda, in the Diocese of Kampala. He studied at Saint Francis de Sales Seminary. He was ordained a deacon on November 21, 1981. He was ordained a priest for Kampala on June 3, 1983, in Kampala. On June 4, 2008, he was appointed Bishop of Kasana-Luweero. He received episcopal ordination on August 23, 2008, at Luweero, with Cyprian Kizito Lwanga as principal consecrator and Emmanuel Wamala and Paul Tschang In-Nam as co-consecrators. On April 7, 2021, he was appointed Apostolic Administrator of Kampala. On December 9, 2021, he was appointed Archbishop of Kampala. He was installed as Archbishop of Kampala on January 25, 2022.
