Bishop of Ekiti
Felix Femi Ajakaye was born on May 25, 1962, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Bishop Ajakaye grew up in south-western Nigeria. Education and Formation: He studied philosophy and theology at SS. Peter and Paul Major Seminary, Bodija, Ibadan. Priestly Ministry: Ordained on July 4, 1987, he served in parish ministry, seminary formation, and diocesan administration. He became known for his outspoken advocacy on social and political issues. Episcopal Appointment: He was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Ekiti in 2008 and succeeded as Bishop in 2010. Current Role: Bishop Ajakaye is a prominent voice in the CBCN, especially on issues of justice, governance, and social responsibility. He collaborates with the CSN in promoting Catholic social teaching and pastoral care.
