Archbishop Rodolfo Luís Weber

Rodolfo Luís Weber was born on August 30, 1963, in Bom Princípio, in the Diocese of Montenegro and the State of Rio Grande do Sul. He completed his initial studies at the Bom Princípio Seminary, followed by philosophy studies at the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Seminary in Viamão and theology studies at the Institute of Theology of the Pontifical Catholic University of Porto Alegre. Additionally, he obtained a Licentiate in Philosophy from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He was ordained a priest on January 5, 1991, for the Archdiocese of Porto Alegre, where he served as: Parochial Vicar of Santo Antônio Parish in Santo Antônio da Patrulha (1991–1992); Vice-Rector (1993–1997) and subsequently Rector (2000–2007) of the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Major Seminary in Viamão; and Parish Priest of Nossa Senhora das Graças Parish in Gravataí (2008–2009). He was appointed Bishop-Prelate of Cristalândia on February 25, 2009, and received episcopal ordination on May 15 of that same year. At the most recent General Assembly of the CNBB last April, he was elected Secretary of the *Regionale Norte 3* (Northern Region 3).
