Bishop Waldemar Passini Dalbello

Waldemar Passini Dalbello was born on June 6, 1966, in Anápolis, and was ordained a priest on December 3, 1994, for the Archdiocese of Brasília. After completing courses in philosophy and theology at the Major Seminary of Brasília, he obtained a Licentiate in Biblical Sciences from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. He also holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Federal University of Goiás in Goiânia. During his priestly ministry, he served as: Parochial Vicar in Sobradinho and at the Cathedral of Brasília; Formator, Spiritual Director, and Bursar at the Major Seminary of Brasília; Professor of Sacred Scripture (including for the Advanced Theology Course for the Laity); Spiritual Director of the Commission for the New Evangelization; local collaborator at the Apostolic Nunciature in Brazil (2003–2005); and Rector of the São João Maria Vianney Interdiocesan Seminary and Professor of Sacred Scripture at the Santa Cruz Institute of Philosophy and Theology in Goiânia (2006–2009). On December 30, 2009, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Membressa and Auxiliary Bishop of Goiânia, receiving episcopal ordination on March 19, 2010. He also served as Apostolic Administrator of Brasília during the *sede vacante* period (2011). Father Waldemar Passini Dalbello was born on June 6, 1966, in Anápolis. He attended the Colégio Estadual Virgílio Santillo and the Colégio São Francisco de Assis in Anápolis, and studied philosophy and theology at the Nossa Senhora de Fátima Major Seminary in Brasília. From 2003 to 2005, he served as a local staff member at the Apostolic Nunciature in Brazil. Since 2006, he has been the Rector of the São João Maria Vianney Interdiocesan Seminary and a professor of Sacred Scripture at the Santa Cruz Institute of Philosophy and Theology in Goiânia.
