Bishop Andrea Andreozzi

Andrea Andreozzi is Bishop of Fano-Fossombrone-Cagli-Pergola, Italy. The Holy Father accepted the resignation from the pastoral governance of the Diocese of Fano-Fossombrone-Cagli-Pergola presented by Bishop Armando Trasarti and appointed Andrea Andreozzi, of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Fermo and until then rector of the Umbrian Seminary, as bishop of the same diocese. Andrea Andreozzi was born on 25 August 1968 in Macerata. After attending the Archdiocesan Seminary of Fermo and studying Theology at the Istituto Teologico Marchigiano, he obtained a licentiate in Biblical Sciences from the Pontifical Biblical Institute and a doctorate in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, also spending a semester at the École Biblique in Jerusalem. He received priestly ordination on 26 October 1996 for the Archdiocese of Fermo. He held the following roles: parochial vicar of San Michele Arcangelo in Monte Urano from 1996 to 2006; from 1996, lecturer at the Istituto Teologico Marchigiano and at the Istituto Superiore di Scienze Religiose SS. Alessandro e Filippo of Fermo; vice rector at Collegio Capranica in Rome from 2006 to 2007; from 2007, parish priest of S. Pio X in Porto Sant'Elpidio and moderator of the pastoral unit, and deputy director of the diocesan fortnightly La voce delle Marche. From 2014 he was spiritual director in the Seminary of Fermo, and from 2020 he was rector of the Umbrian Seminary.
