Bishop Andrzej Jeż, Bishop of Tarnów, was born on May 3, 1963, in Limanowa, Limanowa County, Poland, in the Diocese of Tarnów. He studied at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. He was ordained a priest for Tarnów on June 12, 1988. On October 20, 2009, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Tigillava and Auxiliary Bishop of Tarnów. He received episcopal ordination on November 28, 2009, at Tarnów, with Wiktor Paweł Skworc as principal consecrator and Stanisław Dziwisz and Józef Kowalczyk as co-consecrators. On May 12, 2012, he was appointed Bishop of Tarnów. He was installed as Bishop of Tarnów on June 15, 2012.
