Archbishop Francesco Sirufo, Archbishop of Acerenza, was born on January 1, 1961, in Castelluccio Inferiore, province of Potenza, Italy, in the Diocese of Tursi-Lagonegro. He was ordained a priest for Tursi-Lagonegro on August 3, 1986. On May 20, 2016, he was appointed Archbishop of Acerenza. He received episcopal ordination on August 20, 2016, at Turs, with Vincenzo Carmine Orofino as principal consecrator and Francescantonio Nolè and Salvatore Ligorio as co-consecrators. He was installed as Archbishop of Acerenza on September 3, 2016.
