Bishop Lukas Teshome Fikre Woldetensae

H.E. Teshome Fikre Woldetensae was born on June 6, 1972, in the Guraghe region. In 1992, he entered the seminary and began his formal studies in philosophy and theology at the St. Francis Institute of Philosophy and Theology in Addis Ababa. He was ordained a priest for the Eparchy of Emdeber on January 11, 1998, and subsequently completed his studies in Rome, obtaining a doctorate in Eastern Canon Law. He is also proficient in Ge'ez, the liturgical language. He served as parish priest of Attat and, for over ten years, as Secretary General of the Emdeber Catholic Secretariat. In 2017, he was appointed National Pastoral Coordinator. Since 2019, he has served as Secretary General of the Inter-ritual Episcopal Conference of Ethiopia.
