Archbishop of Tulancingo
Oscar Roberto Domínguez Couttolenc, M.G., was born in Puebla on May 13, 1956. In 1972, he entered the Seminary of the Missionaries of Guadalupe and pursued philosophical and theological studies at the Intercontinental University of Mexico. He has been a member of the Santa Maria de Guadalupe Institute for Foreign Missions since 1982. He was ordained a priest on August 11, 1983. He obtained a Licentiate in Philosophy, a Licentiate in Theology, and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the Intercontinental University of Mexico. From 1983 to 1986, he served as a vocation promoter and vicar at the "Santa María Madre della Chiesa" parish in Monterrey; from 1986 to 1991, he was a missionary in the Diocese of Ngong, Kenya; and from 1991 to 2003, he served as Bursar General of the Missionaries of Guadalupe and as Administrative and Legal Director of the Intercontinental University. From 2003 to 2007, he served as Vicar General of the Missionaries of Guadalupe. On March 27, 2007, he was appointed Bishop of Tlapa, receiving episcopal ordination on June 11 of that same year.
