Bishop of Texcoco
Bishop Carlos Enrique Samaniego López, Bishop of Texcoco, was born on October 8, 1973, in Mexico City, Mexico, in the Diocese of Tlalnepantla. He was ordained a priest for Tlalnepantla on January 4, 2001. On February 16, 2019, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Cillium and Auxiliary Bishop of México. He received episcopal ordination on March 25, 2019, with Carlos Aguiar Retes as principal consecrator and Franco Coppola and Andrés Vargas Peña as co-consecrators. On August 21, 2025, he was appointed Bishop of Texcoco.
