Bishop of San Lorenzo
Joaquín Hermes Robledo Romero was born in the city of Asunción on September 26, 1950. He attended the Metropolitan Minor Seminary and subsequently completed his philosophical and theological studies at the National Major Seminary. He was ordained a priest on December 25, 1975, and incardinated into the Archdiocese of Asunción. He obtained a Licentiate in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Asunción and in Religious Sciences from the Higher Institute of Theology at the same university. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: parochial vicar, parish priest in various parishes, and later Rector of the Minor Seminary of the Archdiocese of Asunción. After the division of the Archdiocese and the creation of the Diocese of San Lorenzo, he served continuously as Vicar General of the new diocese.
