Prelate of Corocoro
Msgr. Pascual Limachi was born in a community in Viacha on May 5, 1963. In 1984, after completing his military service, he began a vocational discernment journey under the guidance of H.E. Msgr. Luis Morgan Casey at "San Agustín" Parish in Viacha, alongside other companions. In 1985, he entered the "San Cristóbal" National Propaedeutic Seminary in Sucre. The following year, he returned to La Paz and entered the "San Jerónimo" Archdiocesan Major Seminary, where he pursued philosophical and theological studies, completing this stage in 1991. He was ordained a priest on June 29, 1992. Positions held previously in the Archdiocese of La Paz and, following its creation, in the Diocese of El Alto: 1992–1993: Parish Priest of Huarina Parish; 1993–1994: Parochial Vicar of Achacachi Parish; 1994–1996: Parish Priest of Achacachi Parish and Episcopal Vicar of the Northern Altiplano Vicariate; 1998–2002: Parish Priest of "Pius X" Parish in the city of El Alto; 2002–2008: Parish Priest of Achacachi Parish and Episcopal Vicar of the Northern Altiplano Vicariate; 2008–2009: Parish Priest of Ancoraimes Parish; 2009–2019: Parish Priest of "Santísima Trinidad" Parish in the city of El Alto; 2015–2021: Vicar General of the Diocese of El Alto; 2019–2021: Auxiliary Bishop of El Alto. "His Holiness Pope Francis has deigned to appoint H.E. Msgr. Pascual Limachi Ortiz—until now Titular Bishop of Belesasa and Auxiliary Bishop of El Alto—as Bishop Prelate of the Territorial Prelature of Corocoro."
