Archbishop of Denver
Bishop James R. Golka was born on 22 September 1966 in Grand Island, Nebraska. He entered Saint Paul Seminary in Minnesota, where he attended philosophy courses. He then completed his ecclesiastical studies at the Pontifical North American College and the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome. He was ordained a priest for the diocese of Grand Island on 3 June 1994. He was appointed Bishop of Colorado Springs on 30 April 2021 and received episcopal consecration on 29 June 2021. James R.
