Bishop of Trieste
Enrico Trevisi was born on August 5, 1963, in Asola (Mantua). After attending the Diocesan Seminary of Cremona, he was ordained a priest on June 20, 1987, for the Diocese of Cremona. He undertook the following studies and roles: Doctorate in Moral Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome; Vice-Rector and teacher of Moral Theology at the Diocesan Seminary (1990–1997) and, until 2022, lecturer at the Interdiocesan Theological Institute of Crema, Cremona, Lodi, and Vigevano; Director of the Diocesan Pastoral Center (1997–2004); Head of the Office for Social and Labor Pastoral Care (1997–2003); Spiritual Assistant to ACLI (2000–2005); Rector of the Diocesan Seminary of Cremona (2004–2016); teacher at the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences in Mantua, the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy in Milan, and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Cremona; member of the Presbyteral Council and the College of Consultors; and, since 2016, Parish Priest of Cristo Re in Cremona and Coordinator of the "Family of Families" area. The Holy Father has accepted the resignation from the pastoral governance of the Diocese of Trieste presented by H.E. Msgr. Giampaolo Crepaldi and has appointed Msgr. Enrico Trevisi—a priest of the Diocese of Cremona, Parish Priest of Cristo Re in Cremona, and Coordinator of the "Family of Families" area—as Bishop of the same Diocese. H.E. Msgr.
