Bishop of Šiauliai
Darius Trijonis was born on April 21, 1973, in Telšiai. He attended the diocesan seminary and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Telšiai on May 18, 1997. He held the following positions and pursued further studies: Licentiate in Theology from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome (1997–1999); Prefect and lecturer at the diocesan seminary (1999–2002); Doctorate in Moral Theology from the Alphonsian Academy in Rome (2002–2006); Vice-Rector and lecturer at the seminary (2005–2007); Lecturer in Catechetics at Klaipėda University (2006); Prefect of Studies at the diocesan seminary (2007–2008); Parish Priest of the Holy Family parish in Plikai (2008); Under-Secretary of the Lithuanian Bishops' Conference (2010–2015); and in 2015, he was appointed Administrator of Telšiai Cathedral. On September 29, 2017, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Fissiana and Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Vilnius, receiving episcopal ordination on the following December 16.
